They are very wide up top, but other than that, the only problems you might run into would be the fuel pump (if the older mechanical type) as they are rather large, and probably the driver side exhaust with the steering.

Power wise, the civvy 6.2 was around 130hp and 240 lb feet of torque, the 6.5 NA in the hummer was 160ish with mid 300's for torque. If I remember right, all of the turbo 6.5's were 190hp and around 420 lb ft torque. I have a 6.2 sitting in the frame of my Jeep right now.

I normally got around 12-13 mpg running empty at 70mph in my 3500 crew cab with 6.5T, 4L80E, 4.10 gears. If I dropped to 55, I could get 17 or 18. A friend of mine has a regular cab '93 3500 with an NV4500 and he was getting just over 20 with 3.73 gears.

Towing was a bit tricky....by tricky, I mean slow. Pulling to the Rally I was getting about 9mpg and rarely made 70 on the interstate. Some of it was due to me being overly cautious of the EGT's. I will have to say that I would regularly max out my 14k trailer and never worried about being able to pull it. I just avoided the interstate because there are a few hills on I70 between Topeka and Manhattan that I would be down to 40mph on....floored.
