The reason it is minutiae is that Dan never provided enough information to give a specific answer. So arguing over the specifics is minutiae, it is also pedantic.
I was giving general answers to a general question concerning getting a set of unknown type data plates stamped and gave him some pertinent information including where he may be able to get data plates stamped. If he was really asking about where to get a number stamped by hand (I doubt it), I will refer him to you.
As for me, I've tired of this question. And, I suspect everybody else has too.
