Marine grease has an additive to keep the grease from washing out as easily as regular grease. I don't see any need for it in a FFPW.
If you are silly enough to drive your flat fender through streams and mud, you will have more serious problems to worry about than the grease washing out.
Marine grease is not going to behave any differently as far as grit that enters past the seals because you just needed to do that mud bog.
