Yeah Jay, those HEIs can carbon track all over with that high voltage. And maybe it got worse while parked, from condensation inside not being cooked away? Red silicone rubber washer in there for insulation, plus a spring.
And maybe even burning a hole through the rotor? Check the underside. There is a reason they went to white rotors, to show the carbon tracking.
