Eschbach for general practical mathematics

Kent, for mechanical engineering (2 volumes, "Design", and "Shop Practice")

King, for Hydraulic engineering (pipelines and turbines, not excavators)

Herbert Nichols, for excavation, road building, etc.

The Merck Index and the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, for chemistry.
