West Texas Off Road is who rebuilt and ported my steering box. I am still using the old box just rotated 90 degrees for crossover steering. I had trouble with the box at flat nasty and ended up breaking/crushing one of the balls (which are reused in rebuilds) in the box and when I sent it back they fixed it for no charge. They state that you must flush the system and replace the pump for the warranty but even though I did neither and they found gunk in the pump they just called and recommended flushing the system. I was prepared to pay for repairs knowing I abused the box and didn't follow their installation instructions but they wouldn't take anything for the repair. Since the fix it has worked great without the ram assist, so well I never felt that motivated to install it before. A new PSC or other box is probably great but I highly recommend west texas to anyone, most rebuilds are probably done in Mexico or China and you never know what you are getting. You might try calling them and see what they think, I bet they would be happy to talk to you about it.
