A guy has what used to be a nice old Malibu parked across the alley from me. Since it's closer to my building, people always ask me if it's for sale and who owns it, especially during the car show each year. The body is straight and the original upholster (was) good. Of course the guy will never sell. Won't even name a price. Now it's sitting on the rims and the paint has gotten so thin just from the sun and rain that the body is starting to rust. A month ago the transformer on the electric pole blew up and the insulator fell through the back window and it got all wet inside before I noticed. He has plastic taped over it now. The owner's a good guy, and I can relate to not wanting to get rid of anything, but this car is going to be hauled off for scrap before he ever restores it.
