oil psi when hot

stock engine and oil pump. mains good. New rod bearings all approx .002 clearance. Good 30w oil. oil psi is 60-70psi at idle cold. Hot oil psi is 40 psi at half throttle but drops to 10psi at idle, seems low. Am going to try blocking off the oil filter to see if any improvement. Anybody else have numbers like these?
