OK we had a great time this morning working on a Dodge. Got the axle out using a plastic pipe that we pushed over the end and it came right out. Cleaned up the parts, started to install said parts and found out that the axle I had was a tad to large. BUMMER. His truck is a March of 1942 production. The first batch of WC 3/4 tons to come off the line. Looks like it got a half ton rear or at some point in its life it was swapped out. You learn some thing new every day. Gonna Call Midwest Military to order the right axle. After that we went down the street to the local diner and had a late breakfast. All in all is was a great morning. Bill.
