7/8" is a fairly large tap, so the flutes should be big enough to put a reasonable piece of steel in them - I've used an old set of pointy pliers ground to suit, then clamped them with vicegrips. Allowed me to gradually work it loose. Other thing depends how far into the hole it broke off, you may be able to weld a nut onto it?
