Way back in a former life, the fabrication shop I worked at used to make pieces for doing frame extension jobs. One piece matched the existing frame, and another longer piece to nest inside.
But instead, I guess you could find some 1/4" wall square tubing, and cut it into sections. The radius of the corners should be a good match to the frame corners. It would take four pieces for each side, cut into "angle iron".
