That is why people use the cheap, brittle, hi-carbon steel taps.
There are 'tap extractors", four thin wires in a holder. The wires go down the flutes. They don't work on taps that broke due to forcing, but will work on taps that broke due to the mechanic having a convulsion while turning backwards.
