One's a "Bruno 424". The other is a slightly older style, but basically the same size, same circuit and same power. It's a "C. F. Electronics BC747"

I also have a very old (1920s?) signal corps battery charger that accomplishes about the same thing via 4 tap-switching knobs. It was made to use tungar rectifier tubes but I converted it to solid-state and put a half-wave/full-wave switch in to get two ranges. It's only good for about 8 amps max, but that will charge a dead battery overnight just fine. It's a true beast and I haven't moved it for years.
