Seriously, you probably need the Duramax working more than the other 2, so fix it and while you are recovering from the $500, you will get more excited about working on the PW again. It's got to be something fairly simple.
I don't know what to say about the Dakota. I bought one new in 2000 and rolled it in 2002. That led me to buy the first Dodge/Cummins.
