Remove the handle. There is a screw/nut combo that clamps the handle on. Remove the collar around the shaft on the inside of the post, if it has one. The rest should slide through to the outside. Then you can remove the escutcheon. Or you can remove the two screws in the escutcheon and pull the whole works out.
