They call it Di-electric because it insulates when thick, but conducts when thin. I use it on any connector that can be exposed to the environment. and as a lube on slide on plugs.

Hard to find. My tube is "AGS Line", "silicone dielectric compound". "for electronic ignition".

Some wire sets used to come with a little envelope of it. Maybe you have some left over?

NOT "silicone heat sink compound", which is used to conduct heat from under processor chips. Like the GM HEI module.
