Are there any other markings/words?
Is it obviously an old block, or a new one?
If it's an old one, 4" to 6" diameter, it's probably like David said, 4000# or 4 tons. Can you post a picture of it?
I have no idea what this one is rated at, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it for anything I needed.
