1941 WWII WC-3 Dodge 1/2 ton 4x4 Open Cab Weapons Carrier Pickup Truck G505

I bought this WC-3 at a ranch auction in southern Colorado 4 years ago. It spent almost it's whole life there in southern Colorado, it has a nice solid body. The guy who was having the auction said his dad bought two of these back in the 1940's and used this one for drive-train parts to keep the other one going. The numbers on the hood, tailgate and front bumper all match, as does the frame number and vin tag number.

Some of the original drive-train is missing. It does have most of the front axle assembly, there is no rear axle, but leaf springs are there. The original transfer case is still in it. I have what I believe is the original transmission and bell housing. There is no engine. I have a T-215 engine (even though not correct) that could be made available with the truck or I would sell the T-215 separate. I also have a pallet of misc parts that go with it, I will load the pics of the extra parts in a day or two.

Every one always says look for sheet metal, sheet metal, sheet metal, when looking for a vintage Dodge truck. This truck has great sheet metal. Overall it is a nice straight solid truck. The hood does have some denting. Driver’s fender is straight; the passengers will need some straitening.

Running boards are nice and straight with the exception of one area that is slightly pushed in the rear part of the passenger’s side. Both rear fenders are nice and straight with the exception of a few small dents.

Both bedsides are straight and are not bowed or beat up. Tailgate does have a dent towards the passenger’s side on the upper part. Windshield frame is nice as is the upper header header panel. Cab floors are solid and the seat frames and springs look good. Front nose and grill are nice. Only parts missing from the body is the head light buckets and someone cut the skirts off the lower side part of the cab.

If someone had a beat old 1/2-ton parts truck laying around for the draintrain, you could make a nice truck out of this again. Or put modern drivetrain in it and make a resto-mod out of it. There is a lot of potential with this truck, with the great western sheet metal it has.

I am asking $2,500 for the truck. I am open to offers on it. I would like to find a home for it sooner rather then later. Make offers, worst I can do is make a counter offer.

I have a forklift here and can load the truck on any flatbed without any body damage. I maybe interested in delivering it in the Colorado Nebraska area on my trailer for a fee.

Truck is located in northeast Colorado near Holyoke. About 30 miles south of the interchange of I-76 and I-80 (near Julesburg Colorado) so it is not to far off the beaten path.

Any questions email me at mattsoldmopars@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Matt
