My wheel cylinders are USA, but with the aluminum pistons unfortunately. I would prefer not to deal with the same problem again. I might have some of the older ones laying around with steel pistons...will check for them.
I am of a mind to get mine resleeved. I had a slope top MC resleeved by Apple Hydraulics and they did a nice job. I am thinking the dissimilar metals are indeed a problem. Apple offers brass or stainless. IS one a lot better than another? The brass is quite a bit less $.
I will give DOT 5 a thought....have not tried it yet. Don't you have to really get all the lines totally cleaned out of Dot 3 first?
