In the early 70's I was on leave from my duty stationed in Germany. I needed a German propane cook stove bottle filled while traveling in Spain. The foreign fitting meant I had to go to a VERY BIG commercial distributor. The first thing the guard did was hang a strap from the VW vans bumper before he allowed us on site. Jim
