I could use a paint bay like that...
I don't really want to go into the issues with PVC water pipe as compressed airline, but it is cheap, but will shatter on impact and OSHA, ASME and the building codes, like NFPA don't like it.
Personally, I use 1/2 black iron and that has worked well in my applications.
