Taking my 7 Girl Scouts and 2 other leaders winter camping this weekend. Getting the girls out of school early today, and taking off in about an hour. Going to a closed state park about 60 miles from here, and they always have a lot more snow than we have here.
Its cold today, high of 13, and dipping down to 7 below tonight. We will build igloos or other types of snow shelters tomorrow and sleep in them tomorrow night. None of the girls or the other leaders have ever winter camped but everyone is psyched to go. The girls are all 13 and one 14 year old.
Good times indeed!
