yes I restored a 47 that was ordered that way new. had a dual ram set up with steel plate over the wood in the bed. I wasnt sure i believed the original owners story about ordering like that. He said he took a train to Detroit and drove it back to WA to break it in and said the dump was installed before he picked it up. I then have seen 2 more since with the exact same set up all the way down to pump and rsevoir design. those owners also claimed it was all stock as far as they knew. when the bed was down is was maybe 1/2 an inch to 1 inch higher than stock height. looked and worked great
