You know I have thought of this and I looked seriously for my M at Rockland standard gear. They have a t-56 double overdrive close ratio tranny with a 4wd tailhousing. It is expensive and truthfully I didn't need the double overdrive for my use. I think it would be perfect for a street driven 4bt. Maybe a little long for a Cherokee not sure. 3 dogs! And two kids maybe you should look for a commander or a Durango!
