Do not buy it a piece at a time - get a complete engine - many have the trans and adapters still attached - dump the trans and use the adapter or trade it for what you need.
ZF5 speed from a ford will work fine.
Use a craigslist search engine and you will find an engine close to you or go to dove bid - i have seen the engines on the Government liquidation site once or twice in a fedex type mail van ......
