Unfortunately my project/recovery stalled a bit as I became too introspective on how to proceed in terms of my rebuild. It was cold too, but mostly introspection.
Anyway, I have recovered and everything is nearly back together. I replaced the pistons and rod bearings, although I had to shim the rods with .001 stock to get all of them to .002 or better. The head is back on, so there is just radiator the plumbing left to do. I'm going to rig up something to the oil galleries to push the oil in that way in order to prime the pump.
Hopefully I can get this running soon - I need to push back the snow banks, the driveway is getting kind of narrow.
