I investigated importing a Power Wagon last year and the estimate from the shipping company was $800 to $1200. That was for RoRo (Roll On, Roll Off). Destination Port was Charleston. Other east coast ports would be similar.
Containerized would be significantly more and less safe (believe it or not) because you would have no control over what else got loaded in the same container with the vehicle (unless you shipped an entire container with just the vehicle and boy that would be expensive!)
The cheapest way of transporting anything is by water.
