If you're coming in on I-70 (which I highly recommend), take US 285 down to Route 50 on your way to Crested Butte. 285 is a great road (have your camera out at Kenosha Pass), and you can get excellent food in Bailey at the Crows Foot Restaurant (on the right at the bottom of the LONG hill) and in Como at the old Como Depot. Route 50 is in good shape too.

Get a copy of Caroline Bancroft's book "Unique Ghost Towns" once your in Colorado. Most of the small town gift shops will have it. It's a good guide to a lot of the out of the way places all over the state. Also get a copy of "Colorado Backroads and 4-Wheel Drive Trails" (ISBN 0-9664976-0-0) by Charles Wells. There's lots of stuff that your van can handle.

Call if you're ever in the Ft Collins area, 970-461-0063. Have a great trip! Greg
