The Chrysler A57 Multibank was put in the M4A4 model Sherman. It was 5 six cyl blocks connected to a common crank. The engine was a stop gap design to fill the shortage of tanks engines during Sherman production. Most of the A4 Shermans built (7500) were sent over to the British ( and told them to keep them!!). It was a maintenace nightmare. Its said that the British loved them but then again these are the same people that brought us Lucas Elec!!( Edison discovered light...Lucas discovered the dark lol)
