It seems there are several types of collectors. There are the power wagon "black holes". These are where power wagons go in but they never come out. These concern me because a lot of good trucks are going to remain "hidden" until the present owner passes on and their relatives sell everything off in a flurry of liquidation. This will create small temporary gluts in the market every 20 years or so. Then there are the "for profit collectors". You have to ask yourself if it would be a better or worse world without VPW, Doug, or the others. Frankly, I'm glad they are around. Thanks to the internet and them, there are very few irreplaceable parts around. If I have to pay a premium for them storing the part for 40 years, so be it. Remember that they are still competing with all of the other PW nuts, NAPA, and anyone else who have some spare parts for sale.
As far as posting the dirt cheap PW's for sale. If the price is right, you will never know about it because I have bought it. However, If I can't afford to buy or store it, I would rather someone on this forum, yes even the collectors, to buy it rather than see it scrapped.
