I would like to see a mileage comparison between the two in similarly equipped trucks, like a W300 with 4.88s.
I know that a few W300 owners indicate that there 68-71 models with LA318 get 8 mpg.
My old 57 Town Wagon (4.10s) got 16 mpg with the 315 Poly, which I thought was exceptional. Of course you can not compare a TW with a W300, about 1500-2000 pounds difference.
