my 42 wc53 had a "nailhead" buick v8 in it when I bought it in 1968, It worked until 1996 when it expired. Friend and mechanic had a chevy ready to go and I declined figuring it was time to go back to dodge. But being spoiled by the power and running 1100x18 tires I put in a 360. If it's not rusted out, get it and drive it for 20 years then put in a dodge whatever. good luck.
