Help on old Dodge please!...

Alright folks, I need a little Dodge expertise! There’s an old three window truck here I could pick up, but the guy doesn’t know much about it. The story is his brother saved it from a salvage yard that was about to smash her up (Yea for his brother!). The salvage yard didn’t have the title or keys, or any of the missing trim (what little it had to begin with), and they didn’t even know what year it is. The only thing the old girl has going for her is she’s got STRAIGHT sheet metal (surface rust only). Yes, even at the bottom rear corners of the cab! The box and tailgate are there, wood needs replacing but its there, the glass is all broken out, what little chrome it had isn’t there, the cab floorboard is solid, and someone, somewhere, at sometime, dropped in a V-8. Could be original, but I doubt it from what I’ve been told. The V-8 is so grimy we couldn’t get a number or anything off of it (there’s an oil bath air filter off to the driver’s side from the “Bandit Stromburg WW” carburetor!). If it’s not the original engine, it was a good swap from many moons ago.

The serial number is 82076511, and we think the model number is B-1-B-108. Again, the plate on the door jam was almost too grimy to read. Do those numbers mean anything to anyone?? I’d appreciate any help from anyone on the approximate year, style, ¼ ton - ½ ton, V-8 even a option? Anything folks, we’re grabbing at straws here!

Not worth the asking $500 to me, but we haven’t haggled yet. So I’m looking to get some info to use when I go back to barter with the guy.

Thanks to all you Dodge, Brothers (or sisters!) out there,
Dana in Lincoln, NE
(Not the flat fender I was looking for, but it might be worth restoring!)
