Didn't mean to be pessimistic on converting engine driven accessories to electric drive. Merely wanted to point out drawbacks, as well as pluses which were included as well.

All conversions compromise a vehicle in some way. The more info you have, the more you can anticipate potential side effects and problems, as well as benefits.

Two schools of thought were in this string. One was that electrically driven accessories did not consume much power, and the other is that there was no difference. The truth is somewhere between them, and there is a wide middl ground because each make, model and individual vehicle returns a different result. A 75 HP econobox is going to show a considerable improvement in accelleration compared to a 440 equipped Power Wagon when converted to electrical accessories, for example.
