Matt, Check some local salvage yards & look for 2 ton dodge trucks.I found a mechanical advance distributer on a '53-'54 two ton.I don't know for sure what size engine was in the truck but the distributers are basically the same except for the breaker plate.Another change was the distributer cap indexing tab.Also check for play in the dist.shaft.If bushings are worn,replace them.Worn bushings cause erratic point settings,in your case air gap settings(per Crain Cam spec's)Hope this helps.
