Is it just me, or is the first 2 weeks following the Rally the most depressing time of the whole year? Martie and I had the time of our lives again, as usual. Enjoyed spending time with some very good friends we have made over the years and made some new friends we hope to see again next year.

This Rally has become the focal point of our lives it seems. We plan all year, the exitement builds, before we know it June has come again. Trucks are readied, we eagerly join the festivities, and like someone flipping a light switch, it comes to an end and it is time to say our goodbyes and return to our day to day lives. Not an easy thing to do...saying goodbye till next year.

I have yet to meet anyone outside the "family" that understands. People where I work just can not invision what it is all about or why I really do not want to discuss the vacation I have just returned from.

One reason we have not attended any of the other Power Wagon get togethers is because of the new groups of friends that we would develop and, in the end, have to say goodbye to. I have entertained the idea of skipping the Rally altogether so as to avoid the these feelings (for just about as long as a junkie entertains the idea of skipping his next fix).

Is it just me, or have we found something very sacred here?

Till next year,
Clint
