You might also try the antique radio supply places. There are surprisingly many people who restore antique radios and are just as picky about making them look authentic as we are with our trucks. I checked a few of the sites and they all have cloth-covered wire. The catch is most of it is smaller gauge than you need in a truck. I bet you could find some if you looked around, though.
