that will be great with the 4.05 you can actually get rolling with a load in that gear. I really love the power of the 4.88s. my 62 D300 with OD brownie had a slant 6 2 barrel someone had put on. it did not have the same power as the stock 2 barrel but I was getting 19 MPG in OD at 60 with that set up. I put a stock poly 2 barrel on it and mileage dropped to 12 to 14 mpg. I think if I get another poly I will go 4 barrel and run small primary jets to squeeze efficiency out of it.
