We used to carry them on our County fire engines when we had the county contract for fire protection. They were Blackhawk, and were a very handy piece of equipment to carry on our engines. We used em quite a bit. But they were true Blackhawk, not imported. We had numerous extensions and tips for extrication, supporting, anything you could think of.

I used one to get a guy that was trapped in a under ground screw auger. He was unloading a belly dump of grain. When the grain clogged, he kicked it with his foot and slipped at the same time. Both his legs were sucked into the screw and wrapped around the shaft like four times. Once it was disengaged, I put one port power at each end of the auger, unbolted the shaft, supported it with the spreaders, and removed the bearings at each end. Then I extended the spreaders a little more and it allowed the shaft to be removed from the ground so we could unwrap his legs. He was fully conscious until the auger was removed from the trench. He then went unconscious as the pressure was released and he eventually bled out while being flown to the hospital.

Anyway, they are pretty handy! lol

Ive seen original ones on ebay occasionally.
