You mentioned in the last forum you had a die that you bought from MSC for the spindle threads. Do you know what size it is? I have, I think, found someone to TIG up the thread area, and I'll try to run a die down it (the first three threads look good, so I'll spin it down before welding). If it works, I'll grab a celebratory beer... and I don't drink anymore. If not, contacting a machine shop or axle doctor will be the next step. If all else fails, I'll scrap it, cut my losses, and find another centered rear housing somewhere. I appreciate very much your offer of loaning me yours, but I wouldn't want to risk ruining it. I'll buy one, and destroy my own. Haha. Thanks!
