Woke up to the sound of somebody going up the street in the snowmobile for the first time this winter. Looks like we got maybe 4". Most of the weather's going east this winter, so yeah maybe it'll be our turn next year. Not sure I want a winter like the winter of 1861-62, though, when the mercury was frozen for a week, there was 20 feet of snow in Florence (Wallace hadn't been built yet), and almost all but a few cattle in the Columbia basin died. Even the snow in Bellingham didn't melt until April.
