For propane, you need "T" rated hose, and propane rated tips...I use the Victor Style GPN tips and if you look at the attached URL, he has them for $5 each...And normally I use a O or a 00 on most of the thinner stuff I cut. I think the GPN has more preheaters than the regular tip.

I have been using a propane cutting rig for 25 years and just went from the little Victor size to the Large Victor size. It will get some use this week reworking my pioneer rack on the M37 and cutting patch panels for the TW.

As for welding, I use a Hobart Handler 140 with CO2 as a shield gas.
