I got a Victor Journeyman torch setup at the flea market last summer, $40 for the torch, torch handle, and both regulators...

And by the time I had it set to use it was $75 to rebuild the torch, $50 in assorted tips, a new piece of hose and $50 EACH to rebuild the regulators to include new intake nipples.

I would put the bottle outside, well away from sparks and CALL your gas vendor and ask them how to they want to deal with a leaking valve.

Now, who owns the bottle? you or your gas vendor? if it is theirs, they will come collect it and replace, if it is yours, it is most probably scrap.

Also, if you are just doing scrapping with the torch, use propane and not H2C2, far cheaper and you can use a regular BBQ tank for a fuel supply, and you can even use the same regulator, just get the right rated hose and the correct cutting tips.

Last summer I actually broke down and bought a brand new Harris welding style propane regulator for my torch setup.
