Looks a little better than the kind the replace the wheels, but the problem would still be the same -- not enough flotation on soft snow to get the belly of the truck up above the snow, and no stability on side hills. I'm sure it has its use, but definitely a compromise. An old timer said they used to make their own "snow trucks" out in Eastern Montana by taking some old truck, blocking the steering, cutting out the body, wrapping conveyor belting around the tires, and separating the brake circuits left and right and hanging a second brake pedal for a "skid steer" arrangement.
