i have tried to use the ppg codes and havent had much luck getting a color i could use. this picture is an example, using the dodge dark green ppg code 40028. paint shop mixed it and the top most color (looks like forest green ) is what we came up with. then it was adjusted to the lowest color in the pic. the center color is what another vendor came up with. to the left is original dark green from under the cowl lacing. we went with the center color. on the other hand, the mustang grey i had mixed a couple of years ago was a good match using ppg #'s. getting the exact shade you want can be tedious.
