I need lens like that,so I've been working on a glass lens with the raised arrow. My wife does some fused glass jewelry in her kiln, so my first attempt is in glass. I made a plaster mold from an original lens. Next I cut a round blank from the amber glass and drilled the mounting holes. The plan is to heat the glass until it slumps into the arrow relief in the mold. I've only had one chance to test the concept so far and the plaster wasn't dry enough so the mold failed. Next month when we're back home I'll fire the full size blank in the actual mold.
I'm also going to try vacuum forming in plastic. Hopefully one or the other will be successful. I really enjoy tinkering on this type of project so successful or not it's been fun. Jim
