mercedes brought alot of quality into Chrysler. look at the Charger/magnum/300 and some crossover vehicles. all on mercedes S class suspension. rear wheel drive! but they made mistakes that hurt sales. like getting rid of the neon and going with the caliber. the neon used to sell 250,000 units a year it was a home run. sales were dwindling as it needed an update. Americans dont like hatchbacks like the europeans do. They dont seem to realize that. It left Chrysler with no competitive compact car. big mistake. I hope the new dart can do as well as the Neon. It is the safest compact out there but does not really outperform the competion in handling or speed. Maybe if they build an SRT4 version it would boost interest.
