Fiat itself has done nothing for Chrylser. Italian cars world wide have a reputation of unreliability even today. Fiat in Europe is considered mediocre at best. I think Sergio is doing a good job but I fear the blending of lousy italian engineering will drag down Chryslers reliability over time. Look at the total faliure of the Fiat 500 sales in the US. a clown car that gets the same mileage as a much larger and safer Dodge Dart of Chevy Cruze. The perception of american reliability is still healing from the 70s and 80s when are cars were pretty much hammered by bad managment all through the cmpanies resulting in low quality.
