Am i crazy or does 140 or so sound like a lot of torque for one of these flange nuts. If i torque them to 80 and get the correct preload then what is the real difference? You would think that preload is all that would matter. Can someone explain this? Also for the idler shaft do you put the gears in a vice to test the preload? once its in the case it doesn't appear that you can test it there.
