It well could be to large. Quite a few years ago, I bought a windshield gasket. It was huge, returned it and got sent another to large. Went to another source and got one that fit perfect.
One tip, after its installed close the window tight and let the truck sit in the sun for a few days. The heat and closed windshield will train the weatherstrip to remain in place nice and tight.
